Answer

The Writing Centre doesn't provide APA templates because the assessment of student writing usually designates a percentage of the overall grade for correct APA Style formatting, which means that the formatting needs to demonstrate each student's understanding of the APA Style rules. Also, ensuring that an essay is formatted correctly to meet the expected standards is an authorial responsibility and is part of creating a document. If a student wants to create a template from which to start new documents, the Writing Centre, via APA Style and WriteAnswers, provides extensive information on APA Style, and students are encouraged to use the information to create their own templates. If RRU students have questions about APA Style and aren't able to locate the necessary information, they are welcome to contact the Writing Centre via the WriteAnswers contact form.
