The first thing you'll need to know is if you should be working with the 6th edition or 7th edition APA Style rules. If you're not sure, please check with your program office.

APA 6th Edition

There are lots of resources available in the APA Style (6th ed.) section of the Writing Centre website; in particular, please begin with the "Introduction to APA Style" video. Please also see the "APA Style (6th ed.)" category of Writing Tips.

If you have specific APA Style questions, please use the "WriteAnswers - FAQ for the RRU Writing Centre" search window at the top of this page to search for specific information, look through the APA Help Guide (6th ed.), and/or search in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.). If, after checking these resources, you are unable to find the information you require and you are a RRU student, please submit your question privately through the contact form on WriteAnswers. Your question will not appear in the public knowledge base, and you will receive a private response from the Writing Centre.

APA 7th Edition

There are lots of resources available in the APA Style (7th ed.) section of the Writing Centre website; in particular, please begin with the "Introduction to APA Style (7th ed.)" video. Please also see the "APA Style (7th ed.)" category of Writing Tips.
