APA Style (7th ed.)

If the intended reader of the document is the instructor who can access the materials, use the appropriate formatting to cite and reference the competencies in the document; see How to Cite and Reference PowerPoints in APA Style? for information and a sample reference.

If the competencies are only available to course members and the instructor via a password-protected course website, the information isn't publicly accessible to anyone outside of the course. If the document will be read by an audience who doesn't have course access, cite the competencies as personal communication in-text only (American Psychological Association, 2020, p. 260) and note Royal Roads University as the author of the information.
